Program Description
Code 202 - 60 Credits
The Sports Management program prepares students to learn about the exciting business of sports and gain knowledge, skills, and experience for a stimulating career in the sports industry. Students embark on a journey to learn about event planning, operation of teams, athletes, athletic programs, marketing, business, administration, ethics, sales, diversity, and sports. After completion of this program, students will be able to join the sports industry and/or continue their education in advanced sports studies.
Service-Learning Requirement
Students who obtain an Associate degree or an Associate of Applied Science degree will be required to complete a service-learning experience. The final grade in the course must qualify for academic credit in order to receive the service-learning endorsement. Please contact an Academic Advisor for courses that offer a service-learning experience, or search in the class schedules.
