TSEN 95 - Writing Improvement 3 CR
This course is designed to improve basic writing skills. Writing assignments emphasize the paragraph and short compositions. Emphasis is on grammar, usage, punctuation, and writing. Lab Fee
Additional Information: This course must be taken concurrently with ENGL 151
Requisites: Next Gen ACCUPLACER® writing score of at least 200, or TSEN 65 with at least a grade of C.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Demonstrate competence with key sentence structures when writing essays.
- Demonstrate competence with key punctuation when writing paragraphs.
- Demonstrate competence with word choices.
- Construct well-developed paragraphs.
- Construct various types of essays, including those utilizing a source.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the student’s own key writing errors.
- Implement composing processes to develop and finalize text.
