ANTH 200 - Introduction to Anthropology

3 CR
Adapting to varied and changing environments is examined through the cross-cultural study of social institutions, technologies, and ideologies. The implications of different ways of life for the understanding of human behavior worldwide are also considered.

Requisites: Next Gen ACCUPLACER® reading score of 244, or at least a grade of C in TSRE 55 .

Course Learning Outcomes:
  1. Utilize anthropological principles to identify regular and recurring patterns in human behavior.
  2. Evaluate research methods used in Anthropology.
  3. Apply anthropological theories to current issues and the human condition.
  4. Explore key principles and methods used by anthropologists in the process of collecting anthropological data.
