ART 210 - History of Photography and Film 3 CR This course will explore photography and film from its early years to the present with emphasis on its esthetic, historical, technical, and social contexts.
Requisites: Next Gen ACCUPLACER® reading score of 244, or at least a grade of C in TSRE 55 . General Education Requirement: Personal and Cultural Engagement - General Education Core Course Learning Outcomes:
- Identify the stylistic or technical characteristics of photography or film works corresponding to particular historical eras or movements.
- Analyze works of photography or film and summarize applied compositional elements or principles.
- Interpret the overall content and aesthetics of photography or film works.
- Evaluate the relationship between photography or film works in comparison to the cultures or societies that produced them.
